Our church's Living Nativity event is being held on the 18th and 19th of this month, and I have agreed to help make the palm trees. My sewing experience is pretty much limited to the time I turned a thrift store muumuu into this shirt. This project should be easy though... everything is pre-cut, and it's all straight lines. I just need to figure out how to fill the bobbin.

I'm sure you can do it! If all else fails google bobbin filling for your make of sewing machine and I bet there will be step by step directions. Should have asked for help when your mom was up!!! Did she notice you had vacuumed?
the long list of things that my mom does well sadly does not feature sewing. i did ask -she wished me luck. she didn't mention the carpet, and in vacuumland, no news is good news =)

i did. now i am trying to adjust the stitch size and thread tension- my machine is a little out of whack after being in the closet for ten years.
