Just a bunch of Hodads
We went to San Diego on Sunday. Job's friend Steve was an awesome tourguide and host. I suppose that it's pretty strange to have someone from western NY show a couple of native Californians around so cal, but that's the way it worked out. Job treated us at Hodad's- a local burger joint where the walls are covered with license plates, and the smell of burgers is covered by the marijuana breeze. Ahh, beach towns. I didn't want to bother anyone with flashes, so the pictuers are as fuzzy as the table at which we sat. You like it; it's artsy.

Hot Mama
As I was walking home from work for lunch, a car pulled over to ask for directions. The older lady in the backseat rolled down her window to ask:
Her- "Is there something like a supermarket in this town?"
Me- "Well there's Fairway, but there's nothing super about it. Follow this road down to the stop sign, make a left, make another left at the next stop sign (I still don't know the street names up here), then a right in by the Post Office."
Her- "Oh thank you. Is it going to snow?"
Me- "Um, it is snowing ma'am."
Her- "Oh wonderful!!"

Food Show
Yesterday we cook-type-people went to a food show in Del Mar. At a food show, one is solicited over and over as he or she gorges on samples. It's as exhausting as car shopping, but you get that added bonus bloat. Here are some shots of the free booty we collected.
You can also play with ginormous roaches at the EcoLab booth if you so desire.

From the Archives
These pictures were taken on my 23rd birthday at the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena. It was shortly before Sarah and Josh were married, and Sandy was in California for tons of planning and execution. I remember the huge Impressionism exhibit, I remember the gorgeous gardens...I just wish I could remember what had occured between the first and second camera flash!
